Well I've got metal, excepting any of the alloys right now. Check the wiki and this means he wants metal. He's gathered up some cloth and some wood so far but hit last drawing shows shiney bars (I think I have the wording right). Right now I've got a dwarf in a secretive mood claiming dominion over my craftsdwarf shop. Fortunately he just sat in the dining hall until he died of hunger. The only FUN I've had was smashing my legendary stonesmith with my drawbridge while testing if a level could work two bridges (yeah it can and did you know they will smash things?) and one brewer dorf who went insane because I couldn't figure out what the hell he wanted. Lots of food, lots of goods, some traps, a couple of draw bridges and some thriving industry. So after a few failed attempts I've managed to get a decent fortress up and running. x1 Fuel (as a source of Carbon) x1 Fuel to heat your smelter (magma smelter can work without it) As you can see, the recipe is complicated and it requires you to use bars of Iron and Pig Iron. They can definitely demand specific metal. Metals may sometimes be combined to form an alloy metal ( see below ), which is. (One special metal becomes wafers instead of bars.) The metal bars resulting from smelting are used to make items such as weapons, armor, furniture, and crafts at a forge. I didn't have any at the time for my dwarf so maybe that's bugged, or maybe I used up the last bar of it just as/before the mood started.
